Now that I have been able to put a few miles on the wagon I recently picked up I have a couple small things that I need to sort out. Minor, but annoying.

The car has a TH350 automatic. The shift indicator has the L1,L2 and D positions on it. The car also has the stock steering column in it.

My problem is that when the car is in drive the indicator reads that I am in neutral, L2 is in drive, and L1 is barely in the L2 position.

I can get by, but I like my wife to be able to drive the car and think she would be confused by it.

What is my best course of action?? How can I remedy this?
