*'56 2 dr wagon project (questions

I'm running across various things that I simply don't know and can't find answers to, that I'm hoping folks here can help with.

It's a pretty crusty old race car, that got resurrected to some extent like 10 years ago I'd guess when everyone and their brother wanted that "gasser" look. It was kind of in a driving state, but what I'd consider quick+dirty, one step further than mockup. That was 2017, and I just recently got it running again, so now I'm turning my attention to some of the aesthetics.

I haven't been very diligent, but the mechanical stuff I've occasionally updated in this thread on the HAMB forum.

First issue\question. the back windows need felt channels and the whiskers. My front doors already have new stuff.
  1. Is there anything special about these for the 2door wagon (like do they have some special clips?), or can any old length of same sized channel be cut and bent to fit?
  2. Do any of the companies sell a set for the rear windows on the 2dr wagon? I haven't been able to find a specific part\set.
Thanks in advance, Scott.

best person to answer is Mikey aka on here as 55WagonCrazy---message him or he will probably chime in when he sees the post
I see Ecklers has the flat glass and Classic Industries has the curved glass and flat, but the flat glass looks like it is only for fixed windows for both.

Just my opinion but before you order anything from Ecklers don't do it online--call and verify they actually have it. I have not had good luck or service from there.

To be clear, I'm not looking for glass. I'm just trying to sort out the window channel\felts for the rear quarter windows. This morning I was able to salvage what was left, and here's what I see. unfortunately, I still see nothing in the aftermarket that looks tailored to replace it directly. Even Danchuk's complete 2dr wagon kit is different. I guess I'll just buy channel and try to cleanup and reinstall my clips.

one thing you didn't mention is if the side flat windows roll down. It appears that from this illustration that they do. 210 wagons had the roll
down flat windows. On the side of the body will be a whisker strip. It will have special press in clips that are crimped to the whisker strip.
These clips are special and sold on eBay from a company in Florida that had them made.
You can buy the straight lengths of the flat and also the 3 sided material and using yours as a pattern, can make your own. It is not hard.
Restoration Specialties & supply less these in lengths of 8 feet. 1-814 467 9842 online catalog is www.restorationspecialties.com
The clips you show are also available from Ol'55. in Pa.

Ordered Eckler's EK-57-135803-1, but while not clear, this is for the front doors only. $218

subsequently, ordered EK-57-135804-1 $209, which includes both the same front door parts as above, but also all of the rear window parts. ?how do you sell twice as many window parts for less than the front door only stuff?
  1. the rear quarter window stuff may work, it's a one piece pre-bent channel, but it's nothing like stock. FYI
Also found that trying to reuse my old clips was useless and unnecessary. The clips were to rusty and fragile, and the channels stayed in place just fine with a little adhesive and natural pressure of having the window in place.
Not unexpected when dealing with one of the worst Chevy parts vendors in the business.
