Had to go back and look at the pictures once more but you're right ,,,it's a long bed. A guy had the same thing about a year ago down in palos hills and he had it listed on cgs list forever for $600. He dropped to $400 and after I talked to him for a while and he found out that I had a truck to put it on he said "just come on down and take it. The city is on me to get it out of my driveway and I would love to see it mounted on a truck again". I drove down there, tossed him a hundred and towed it home. He was happy and I was REAL happy. It turned out to be the complete rear off a 56 shortbed axle and all and he had paid to have new springs installed some years ago. Heck, the tailgate was worth $100.
I actually bought a 56 shortbed ,complete (a bit rusty) for $600 ,so I think that $875 is way high. Mid 50's trucks are going for peanuts around here,,,sad but true.
