I assume you want to reseal the two components. The shop manual (start here: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/shop/1955/55csm0925.html ) has good diagrams of each half of the power steering valve and resealing it is fairly straightforward. Resealing the cylinder (ram) is fairly easy too, but it cannot be taken apart because it is a welded together unit. So if the shaft is damaged you'll need to get a new cylinder.
