57 stock radio's antenna plug?

878 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  jds
Tried searching the forum for this but I have an antenna, found the plug hanging under the dash and was wondering where abouts is the plug in on the stock 57 radio? Can I reach it without pulling the radio out? Would love to just reach up and plug it in if I knew the location. My radio works and gets great static.

Thanks in advance.

The recepticle is on the passenger side bottom, towards the dash. Yes it can be accessed from under the dash. No need to remove the glove box or the radio , altho without the glove box in the way it would be easier.

Thanks Chuck, will check it out in the AM. Also, its the stock power antenna, does the antenna plug also send the raise and lower signal or is there a signal and power wire?
I am not sure how the antenna works, you might do well to check the service manual. I will look thru some books that I have to see if I can find anything.
