Well I though I would share my 55 chevy 2 door HT build with you guys.
Sorry for the shop mess. I'm spending all my time on this car. I just installed a new roof skin and doors skins. New quarter and dog legs are next.
I have new OEM front fenders along with New hood and trunk lid from golden star.
I am going to have all new metal on this car when it goes to paint. It's going to have a 2005 6.0 chevy with headers and 4l60e transmission. Custom Dash with monte carlo front and rear seats. Two Tone tan interior. Paint color is 2010 jewel red. Looking to go to paint by Oct. of this year.

Looking good. What are the rear seats out of? What do you think of the repo trunk and hood? Good quality?
The seats are out of 2001 monte carlo. Got the ideal from members here.

I have not had the repo hood on the car yet, but it looks really good. The trunk lid fits OK.I think I'm going to have to work the front two conner where the hinges bolt. It looks like they are a little high when the trunk lid is closed. I'm happy with fit all in all. The door skins Worked really good.
The Door and Roof skin also came from Golden star. I think the roof fits the best. The quarters are cross Canada and I have not removed the old ones yet. I will keep you guys posted.

Thank you for you comments it makes me fill like I'm getting somewhere:)

In the picture it still has the old roof on it along with the rust:(

Here is the front end.
It has 2" dropped spindles, disk brakes and rack pinion.
Back end has 8.8 centered with spring pockets for those 10.5 tires.

Roof is also removed. It wasn't that bad getting the old one off. Just the 2000 spot welds in the drip rail wasn't fun.

I ended up using a 4 inch new 1/4 thick disk and just running it down the drip rail until I ground the metal away.

Then I used panel bond to glue the new roof on the sides. I weld the front and back around the glass.

I started this project back in June of this year so it's moving fairly good.

Darrin, looks like your project is coming along nicely and quickly. Keep posting updates.

Is the roof skin from Gold Star? (Maybe have missed that if you already said.)
Rick I'm using all Golden Star parts.

Golden star didn't have quarters so I went with the Cross Canada. I hope they fit good, I should know soon. They messed up on shipping my parts this week. So Next week I'll get back on it.

Quarters Removed

Been hard at work getting the old quarters removed and cleaning up the welds. I'm going to sand blast the inside now and re-coat everything.

I used a shrinker/stretcher to rebuild the window channel around the back glass before removing the old quarters

I Should have parts next week. I also have a few place to cut rust and rebuild in the wheel area.

dog legs installed

well I have been working this weekend on the dog legs and now have everything in place for the final quarter panel install. I must say the golden star parts are very nice to work with. The cross canada is junk in fitting.

If you can go with golden star. You will love the fit over the other brands.
