I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a float gauge for a 1957 235 Rochester, Chev Part number 3696192? Or is there size information so I can make one. Thanks.
Float level specs with float up, inverted is 1 9/32" from the gasket covered base to top of float. Drop adjustment is 1 3/4" from gasket surface to bottom of float.
On that carb, float level determines mixture. (sounds crazy but look it up in your shop manual) so if your tail pipe is black and using to much gas, lower the float level and it will lean out the carb. You are on the right track.
