70 chevy truck rear coil suspension into 55 chev truck

I thought I recalled reading about a 67-72 chevy truck trailing arm coil spring upgrade into a 55 chevy truck on this forum. I bought the rear suspension from a 70 chevy for my 55 and have yet to find the comments again even with a site search. Anybody remember this thread or have comments or pictures concerning this conversion would be appreciated. I am loath to reinvent the wheel, grin. Thanks, Mayo

SWING ARM

There IS A COMPANY THAT SELLS THIS TYPE OF SUSPENSION. I BELIEVE THEY ARE CALLED " HOT RODS TO ****" OR SOMETHING CLOSE. :anim_25:
Thanks a lot guys for the links. This helps a lot. Got em saved in my favorites under 55 truck build. Any other links out there? Would like very much to read them as well.
Weedetr has one made specifically for these years.
porterbilt has told me they are working on one but so far no word on theirs.
The hot rods to _____ makes them but last I heard not one specifically for these years.
Question; Why do you want to go to the later suspension? Are you going to bag it?-KB
Unless you replace the whole rear frame section,I don't know how that would work. The 70 rear section has a hump over the axle and the 55 is flat. Doesn't look like you'd have a lot of room for springs. The way the trailing arms are set up,using that suspension ,I think that your pinion angle would be way off, which would require moving spring pads or using a tapered block to correct.Anything can be done but I think that you will have go through a lot to get that newer stuff to work-JMO-KB
