When installing a 700 into a project take my advice and install the tv cable to tranny before sinstalling it. a bunch easier in my opnion I just did it afterward. Pia. length has to fit into the trans.

It's even easier if the body is off the frame.

But yes you are correct. Put the tranny end on first then attach it at the carb.

Oh, and if you're running a Holley carb? Make sure to get the 700r4 Adaptor for the throttle lever to assure you get the correct pressures in the trans while driving or you'll burn up clutches 3 and 4 in a hurry.

I can't imagine installing the cable into the trans after it's in the car if you don't have to.

Good advice.

Yeah it is definitly a PITA especially trying to get the cable to hook inside the transimission.
