Tried two Painless brake switches and to no avail. Wired the two purple wires in and the purple wire from the trans, also have tried switched power and a constant 12 but nothing. I have taillights, signal and reverse lights just no brake lights. I have a white wire in the new dash harness and I don't know where it goes, I have heard and seen where there is a white wire in the brake light system but for the life of me I cannot find where this one attaches.

on the brake switch the white wire from the colum harness goes to the front end of the switch. then an orange constant hot to the next . the 2 purple for the tcc go to the back end of the switch.

Why would brake lights have anything to do with wires going through the 700R4 trans? I can understand the lockup power going through a brake switch, but it should be separate contacts from the brake lights.

Have you tried metering the switch? One set of contacts should be normally open (brakes) and the other set should be normally closed (700R TCC)

And now no brake lights or tail lights. Got the tcc purple wire, orange wire white wire and the two purple wires off of AAW replacement harness. I'll do so.e more trouble shooting, but anyone up for a facebook live session this Saturday?

Two things, blown fuse caused by a wire that shorted. Also found a.pic with wiring that worked/made sense to me.

I had no issues when I switched to a 700.

Neither did I, but I didn't wire mine to tie into a brake switch. Mine has a Superior Trans. hydraulic pressure switch to lock/unlock the converter in 4th.
