72 chevelle front brake pads... where does the little clip go?? :confused0006:

one pad goes against the piston...
the pad on the wheel side has a plastic type backer plate...

just can't figure out where this clip goes..

:confused0006:

thanks in advance.. I know I'm gonna slap myself when it turns out to be something simple...

Is it the one that clips across the middle of the pad then sticks inside the piston...

heck if I know...

the pads come with 2 sets of pads/ 2 plastic backers and 2 clips...

will take a picture of it 2-morrow.

I figured people would be jumping out of the wood work with answers...
D52 caliper is pretty popular for disc conversions...
Just like Dave said, the plastic backers go on the outside pad between the caliper and the pad and the clip goes on the rear pad and clips in the piston to hole the pad in place. Later Bill
