Im getting ready to get my 283 rebuilt but noticed that all the linkage is missing, transmission, gas pedal / carburetor and clutch.
Would it be wise to get all the stuff as installed as possible before mounting the engine or is it easy to get to once the 283 is in?
Mind you this was purchased as a basket case so I'm not sure on clearance issues and this is my first build so I'm figuring out what I need step by step.
o and its a 57 210 wagon 283 4 barrel carb 3 speed trans all original.
thanks.

All but the Carb and distributor are readily available new at all the usual after market sources unless you must have original, then you can find most of it in our classifieds here or post a want to buy ad. For the Carb and dist check e-bay I see them from time to time.
