I'm new to the forum and recently decided to help a neighbor with a 57 bel air with rochester single barrel carb. the bracket is missing that fastens the original air cleaner to the top of the carb. Any thoughts on best way to deal with this? The carb was rebuilt - except the bracket of course - and works great.

Rochester single air cleaner

Any one have thoughts on replacing air cleaner bracket on single barrel Rochester carb? Or thoughts on other air cleaner applications for a 57 bel air 6 cyl?
Thanks

That listing shows all models I assume that's the 57 manual?

The 55 used the hold down clamp as well as the 56 I believe. I thought the 57 was the same way.

If that's the case. DTM you may have the earlier carb installed. And can either get an aftermarket clamp on style to fit or get an earlier clamp on filter. If you have the bolt on filter then you would need to swap to the later carb as I believe as well that the threaded bracket may be cast into the throat of the carb so its not just a matter of getting the bracket, all be it I could be wrong about the 57 carb.
