want to put in a new distributor over the winter. confused. i have a mallory unilite "conversion" kit in my dist. now. no vac. advance. static is 10, total advance is about 48. i know 48 is high. my questions, which one to buy, how do you limit total advance, when setting, just set total then leave initial alone, what`s best? i don`t want, need these mega dollar systems. it`s a mild 355, 244 duration cam, 488 lift, dual-plane, 650 carb. not a world beater, but it goes ok, i`m happy with it. i drive it more than hammer it. signed, confused.

DUI is the way to go ..Not cheap but work well. I removed all of the MSD from my Camaro and went DUI. No spark Box needed. Ever wonder why Nascar runs 2 MSD Spark Boxes? DUI is Davis Unified Ignition. They curve the distibutor according to your engine specs. Good luk
