Looking to replace my alternator and not sure what brands are good quality. Yes Jegs and Speedway have ones that look pretty but I want it to last as well and I am a believer in you get what you pay for and their prices range from close to $100-$300.

Thanks,

Hank

Probably won't beat a new AC Delco for reliability. The AC Delco remanufactured ones are also good.

Alternators

Try your local Marine Stores.

I have a wholesale account at "West Marine". Try westmarine.com

They have TOP quality and made in USA to marine spec's

Also, if you desire you can purchase modern alternators with external
electronic 3-Stage regulators for proper charging.

If have two alternators on my 45' sailboat main diesel engine and the
litlle generator. Over 12 years - flawless operation. I also use them
on some of my cars....

Good Luck,

Michael.....
