COIL DEAD

Back in the day most died from mounting horizontaly so internal oil doesn't cover the coils and they overheat.

instructions

Did the jnstructions say to mount vertical or did it come with a vertical mount that you threw away? I think it was Accel who instructed vertical mount years ago.

I think all coils should be mounted vertically to prevent overheating. Most all sportsmen class roadrace cars that I've seen, like Formula Ford, VW and BMW for instance, have the coils mounted vertically, higher than the engine and in line with the center of the car.
