I looked hard at that '57 PU. One of the nicer trucks there - probably in the top five. The new owner got a steal of a deal there. What amazes me is quality does not necessarily equal price... on some. There are some nice cars that are worth every penny. There are some like the '57 PU that are a great deal, others look like the paint was applied with a mop. Lot 391 (I think) today was a red '55 Chev 2 dr HT. I went yesterday to scope it out thinking I might have a chance. Well, it went for 19K more than I could/would have bid. It was a nice car, but, the new owner will be purchasing a rear speaker system as the former occupants had been removed with the speaker wires cut... What else might be missing... Hopefully that was considered in the bid price. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for these folks that bid and win, but for the amount of coin being spent... oH ****, I'm just out of touch...
