Holy smokes, they are supposed to last much longer than 3 years, gotta be some kind of warranty left on it. My wife's 2017 F150 still has the same Batt and were going on 6 years. Guess I better keep my fingers crossed. My previous Jeep had 8 years on the orig batt when I traded it last year. Good thing too it was $538 to replace it. AGM under the front seat.

I guess I'm just unlucky---this AGM crap is ridiculous. All because of the auto stop / start and BMS. I bypassed the auto stop/start.

I remember buying used batteries at the junkyard for 25 bucks, obviously hit or miss. I don't know what AGM is, once had a factory AC delco battery go 11 years. I found Walmart to be the cheapest although I hate shopping there. Interstate Exide and Optima are all way expensive, Advanced still sells DieHard they used to be a good value I don't know who makes them now.

the price you pay for owning a ford
time to ditch the ford for chevy
Nah, I bought 3 GMs--2 chevys and 1 GMC in the last 10 years---all junk with the AFM and all used oil. Last one was a 2018 and it used oil from day 1. Quart every 200 miles or so and GM wouldn't do anything about it. Fuel mileage sucked. Traded it in with 8000 miles on it for an F150 with 5.0 10 speed and get anywhere from 23-26 MPG on highway ---best any GM got was maybe 20 if I kept it under 70. 53,000 on the Ford and no oil usage either.

Just replaced my 600 CCA Interstate battery on my '99 Tahoe. I like the dual post batteries which seem to be getting harder to find. Picked up a NAPA battery for $157 plus tax, 800 CCA and dual post. That was with a battery trade in. Used to be $5 for a core, now $18 without a core to exchange. Guess time will tell how it will last. Seems NO batteries last like they used to. I remember buying a Sears DIEHARD that lasted me 8 years!

AGM = Absorbed glass mat.
We tried them in some electric fork lifts. NOT a good idea.
The electronic batt monitors went nuts. Low time between charges.
