I need assistance with the Beltline Molding for a 57 4-Door Belair Sedan. What is the molding just behind the small quarter panel window called? See the molding in the bottom of the photo attached. I heard them called "dogleg" molding.

And, could anyone direct me to instructions or the proper steps to reinstall this molding?

I already purchased a new complete clip set for the Beltline molding so I hope I have what's needed to re-attache the molding.

Thanks.

I believe it is called Quarter Window Upper Reveal molding.
I have a 55, and in the 55 shop manual section 1 ( Body) there are instruction for installing all the different moldings. I'll take a look and see if I can find it in the manual for the 57 in the trifive library section.

It's usually called 'sail' molding, there's a tiny 'arrow' clip that goes in the rear bottom, with a bolt and nut that goes through into the trunk. The top has a clip that slides in the molding and in the big hole.
