The wedge stop at the base of the back interfaces with another wedge part on the lower seat. These fail. I bet that is what is going on with yours. I replaced the lower wedge on the seat bottom with a solid Aluminum plate and it fixed the problem permanently. The stupid aftermarklet part from Danchuk is a bonded piece of plastic on a 18 guage piece of steel. Total junk.
