Any particular reason you wanna go to V8 position? So, I started assembling my radiator area with the freshly painted parts so I can just bolt on the doghouse when Bertha is ready, I discovered my radiator is one set up for the 6cyl position, not the V8. So, off to get some 16ga plate to make an adapter.

Easier to work on in my opinion. The radiator support is a V8, I guess I could mount it in front with the adapter plates. Might be cheaper.
I know this has been debated a bunch but my top hose clears. One issue. That radiator has the top tank bung in the center. The hose won’t clear the hood brace. The six radiators have that bung offset to the drivers side. If you look at the hood brace, drivers side, you will see a big notch. The is where the hose goes over the radiator saddle and the notch give the hood room to close.
That boy ain’t right but he does good work. She’s home, in her cave, and it feels sooooooo good to have a perfect foundation to start with. Jason did a magnificent job on the floors and roof. I will start in tomorrow working on her getting her ready for BG.

Glad to hear it Eldon. Love to Have you park Bertha next to Old Red and help me keep Jason in line!No photos, but my windshield will be here tomorrow. I have all of the chassis and drivetrain, all the body panels minus the hood, and all of the glass. If its running reliably (which it better be), it will be at Bowling Green under its own power! I made the reservations at a hotel today so I have a bed and shower.
Bertha may not look too pretty, but I will get her there this time. The 6th time is the charm!
Attaboy you got this!Things are going slower than I hoped, I will know by Monday if I will drive Bertha. If I can get her running and moving around under her own power this weekend, I will put her in a solid coat of white primer, maybe with some blue tint to the bottom, install the glass, carpet, seats, and gauges, and call it good. I want to do a shakedown drive of about 50 miles on Tuesday to make sure she will not conk out on me just down the road.
Wasn’t gonna comment but thinking they must pay you rocket guys a lot to afford that! That’s not what the air cleaner and covers cost, they must be out of stock.
Good times. Many thanks to @lamburgey and his better half, @57R’villeHT and his better half, @SeeTheUSA , @3831957 , @hillerjeffa and his better half, brother (I can’t find his screen name) and his brother’s MUCH better half , and all the others that put up with me over the past few days.
Make sure she doesn’t sabotage the parts in order to win the bet!No... she sees them come in. Lots of cranky looks and "more boxes??"
Beginning to think you have a curse on this car!Soooooo, started with my 5 inch circular sanding disc with 36 grit to clean off the weld area to put in the new car and BAM! Sanding disc came apart. Now I’m sitting in the Acute care with a bandaged hand waiting for X-rays.
Good to see you still making progress Eldon. She’s likely to win the bet though! Looking good.I need a soft sanding block now to mold to the curves. Especially the rear going into the quarters. I put the last bit of filler on and will block it out, then a final heavy coat of urethane high build. Trunk lid is done except the holes where my custom dealer tag will go. I’m waiting on word back from them on the design and spacing of the screws. I have to go to pensacola tomorrow and won’t be back until Sunday night but I have next week off pretty much to get work done.
