BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE PART NUMBER OF THE BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE FOR A V8 55 THAT HAS A SPRING IN IT?I BOUGHT A GATES(20242) FROM THE LOCAL PARTS HOUSE AN IT DOES NOT HAVE A SPRING AN MY CAR GETS OVER 210 DEGREES AT 70MPH.WITHOUT A THERMOSTAT.MAYBE MY HOSE IS SUCKING TOGEATHER.

u should be able to just get the spring :tu , sounds like it maybe ?
what she do other wise? Have u actually stopped at that temp and checked the bottom hose? And also feel if its hot? be careful tho
Are you saying that you don't have a thermostat in the housing. If that's the case that might be why the engine is overheating as you are allowing the coolant to go thru the radiator too fast and not exchange it's heat to the radiator. If you don't want to use a thermostat I would install a flat washer (same diameter as the thermostat) to slow the coolant down a bit. Just a thought Jim
MW....IRT the radiator lower hose.....I just bought one from East Coast Chevy and it has the spring in it.
