The fuse for my brake lights and dome light circuit keeps blowing. I am pretty sure there is a short somewhere in the line. Does anyone have any info on where such a short is likely to be found? 1957 210 2-door wagon.

:) Handyman - I would trace the wires from under the dash, going from there and under the sill plates back towards the rear seat. If nothing shows up there, you may have to remove the rear seat to get to where they feed into the trunk and just follow the wires.
I would think that if both are going out there must be a short between the two wires somewhere as they run along together?

Let us know what you find?

Yes, the dome light requires a #1004 or #94 double contact, single filement bulb. A single contact bulb will short the orange power wire to ground and blow the fuse. If it blows the fuse with the bulb out, let us know and we can try some things to narrow the short down.
