recently rebuilt my doug nash 5 speed. straight ahead and easy to do. i replaced the center bearing on the counter shaft and rear bearing and bought new clips for it. took me about an hour to put it back together. runs like a champ. the 3.28 first gear with a big block is ridiculous.

I just picked up a doug nash 5 speed. What gear do you have in the rear end? I'm thinking i'm gona have to go to a 3 something ratio to get any fuel milage with a big block.
