55 Chevy. My speedo cable broke INSIDE of the speedometer assembly. (It was plastic tipped.) Obviously the new cable won't go in. Any ideas on how to get the broken piece out?

Put a very small spot of super glue on the broken tip, stick it in the hole ,wait a minute then pull it out? Maybe?

Since it's plastic, I'd try drilling it out with a drill bit that is exactly the same size as the flats of the speedo connection without drilling out any metal. Then you can reach in with a probe and pull out the plastic remnants in the corners.
