Many years ago now, I was pulling my car out where it was parked. Apparently I drove up over, not the wheels just the bumper, something that snagged the bottom edge of the front bumper in the middle. I was backing out into traffic when I felt the snag...so I kept backing up.

Bad idea, I pulled a little of the lip of the bumper down and cracked the chrome. You can't really see it unless you bend down and look, or unless you're me and see it every time!

SOOO, I was looking under the car yesterday and decided....soince it's starting to rust some, that I should fix it so at least I arrest the rust. I don't plan on bending the bumper back, I just want to stop it from rusting anymore.

I have some ideas, but since I've shown I'm an idiot already, I hestitate to proceed.

Anyone have a handle on fixing/stopping the rust?

Than you, enjoy your Sunday.

Clean it bettter than good and put Polyurethane clear just in the cracked area? That's what I would do. Dave
