Hey, I just wanted to show off the display we just finished. I wanted a stand to display a poster on at carshows telling about the car so this is what I came up with. It's constructed of 1/4" aluminum and brushed 16 ga stainless. It stands about 4 feet high The board comes off with wingnuts so no tools are required and the stand is hinged so it folds up. It actually fits in the trunk of a Tri-Five!

I own a sign shop pretty familar with these signs and ecs. the car show world,
Anything standing next to the car to me isnt a great idea IMO at a show being it blowing over getting knocked over bumped ect.

There is a few alternatives to bigger tall standing signs example. something in the shape of a rectangle around a 12 high by 36 long so it can sit lower near the bottom of the car and being low it dosent take away from the look of the car.
Also a sign with to much wording isnt good either gets real wordy and long to read plus takes away from the overall look of the sign.

YEah, that makes since. I was afraid of making a sign too low that someone would trip on it, but if it's up close to the car, that wouldn't be as big of an issue. In the pic with the 57, the car was on the corner so no other cars were beside it and we put the sign far enough away that if it did fall, it wouldn't hit the car.

Very nice!:tu If you have any problems with it blowing or falling over just rig you up some places to stake it in the ground like we do our canopys.Which this fix would only work when parked in grassy areas.:confused0006:

Joe, I love the display you've made and wish I had one like it. Personally, I prefer to just have someone one on hand to answer any questions people may have about my car...:) JIM.
like they would know something about cars. :stupido2:

Nice work.

I saw a cool display last friday. There was a '56 Cameo pickup pulling a '54 Vette on a trailor.

The display was on a stand that the owner placed under the front tire of the truck. So it couldn't fall over.

Nice display :congrats:
For wind concern, what about having a plate attached on the ground so you can place your front wheel over it?
It could then be placed closer to the car and can't fall.
Just a thought...

That looks great Joe. A work of art in itself. :tu
I just have this (8 1/2 X 11) attached to some foamcore and lay it on the front seat.

This is not cool when i come to a show i want to see the car this takes away from the whole look and lines of the car and is completly in the way.
The trunk is a pretty good plce to place a smaller sign if you must have one!
