I took the back seat out & washed it 1st w/soapy water then w/a grease remover.Someone recommended Bleche White which I will get soon.
Then it should look pretty darn good considering that it has been gathering dirt and rust stains for the past 20 years.
Now all I need is a front seat,Door panels and rear side pieces w/white tuck & roll upholstery & I'll be in good shape.:sign0020:

Looks good OF. Wasn`t me that made that recommendation. Personally i wouldn`t use anything but mild soap and water. I`d be afraid the bleche white might eat the thread in the seats.

Totally agree with Terry.....Years ago I had a '66 Impala....Headliner needed cleaning....Used bleach water and in no time the threads discintigrated

Are you still going to attempt to dye it black ?
As of now,I have a set of gray/black cloth buckets. If I dont find something different when I'm ready to install the front seats then I will dye the back seat to match.
There is a U pull it junkyard in Daytona beach, maybe I can find a set of white buckets or a full size white seat there OR if I find an affordable original front seat then maybe I can find white upholstery for it.(Terry?,Gina?)):sign0020:

I would think in your climate a white interior would be more user friendly than a dark one would... :anim_25:with the project... Later, Dave

Looks great, I would stay away from bleach too.

When you get to doing the package tray, I found it's a lot cheaper to cut one out of masonite from the hardware store instead of paying oversize shipping on cardboard, I painted mine but it can be covered too.

Or go to a local upholstery shop and buy a sheet of panel board and just cut your own.
