When I re-install the control valve, should the clamp on the valve Stop all rotation of the valve. I have the clamp as tight as it will go, but it still can rotate freely side to side. Does not turn completely around due to hoses and clamp bolt.

Not sure which control valve you are referring to.

The valve should not rotate, the clamp should hold it tight. Yours has become distorted, sometimes you can repair them, or you can buy a new one, they are reproduced.

control valve

Sorry I wasn't clear about the control valve. It's the power steering control valve. Jalapeno Gave me the answer I needed. I'll ged-er done. Thanks to all.
