I installed a new CPP 500 box in my '57. Before that, the car had manual steering. At the same time, I put in an ididit column, mini resevoir pump, and completely took apart and cleaned up all my linkage. I"m also running CPP 2" dropped spindles. Here's my issue. EVerything seems to work fine. However, when I turn the wheel, I often hear a clunk, like something is under a strain, and then gives. When the car is parked, and I grab the steering wheel and move it, somewhat hard in one direction, I can get it to clunk after moving the wheel a bit. I've also heard it while driving. I'm going to check the new spring I put in the drag link, once I put her away for the winter. Any other thoughts on what might make that noise. I can feel it through the column and wheel, and nothing is hitting. It seems internal somewhere. Anyone have a similar issue? John
