In the late 60's my brother bought a crate motor from Chevrolet. He installed it in his 56. It was a fast car back in the day. I inherited the car after my brother's death. The car has sat for probably 40 years. The motor is a 350, and never been opened up. Is there any way to contact Chevrolet to find more information on the motor, from the motor number? Stan

A start would be to get the block casting number on the rear, you probably won`t know the specs until the engine is torn down, cam, pistons, lifters, heads, crankshaft.

Without the paper work on it, it's going to be tough and like said, probably have to come apart. What do you need that information for?
