I'm not too thrilled with it...it's like an optical illusion - if I look at it too long it looks like a rear end, I don't know why, but it just DOES! :)
Travis, I too like the original grill. But that bar fits nicely.

I agree with Mike on the fit of the bar. Only thing that bothers me are the turn signals with this bar. That and the vertical straight edge the turn signals are mounted on.
Might look better if the park light backing plates were "blacked out", that way the lights and the grille would look like they are floating. Just a thought.
I plan on blacking the back out, just haven't done it yet.
A "Smoothie" bumper would also help clean-up the lines.
Good idea, when are you buying me one ;)
Remove the guards, and get the look.
The Chevy designers were paid a grundge of money to come up with a clean look... go back to stock and take advantage of their expertise

 stick with the stock   :D
Travis the question is what do you think ??? ;)
My preference would be the factory grill. I feel the grills on the '55's and '56's are difficult to improve on. This is however the "modified" forum...anything goes!

I think it's unfair to try to formulate a good opinion in an unfinished car....If that combo was all polished up and the car was painted it would look a whole lot different... I can't really say I like or dislike it but it has some potential and it is different...
