I have been to so many swap meets & flea markets with the quest of a 2dr 55Sedan or Hardtop-- Blue/white or the turq/white diecast replicas. I have had no luck on finding one. Of coarse the other colors are out there but I really didnt want countless hours of modeling under the microscope or the mag.class
on a "BadMan"replica............Any Idea on what I'm doing wrong or even missing in the small scale world..............:wavey:

I have been looking for a diecast '55 2 dr sedan, don't care what color yet it seems all I can find are HT's, convertibles and an ocassional Nomad and several '57 sedans. I want one to put in my display case, my ultimate goal is to repaint the diecast to resemble my '55 as close as possible.

I've searched car and hobby swap meets, online sites etc. but have had no luck finding a sedan...any ideas on where to find one?

I have a 1:24 scale '55 2-door Sedan I purchased for my g/f parents as a kind of gag Christmas gift about 18 years ago. It's yellow/white like the car they had setting in their garage for years. They gave it back to me when her mother found out she had bone cancer. (RIP Martha)

Racing Champions did a turquoise/white '55 Sedan in 1:64 scale that I have. I also have a few 1:24 scale '55 from them as well when they were doing to Stock Rods 12 years ago.

What scale do you want? I went to ebay toys and hobbies diecast and found 1/64, 1/25 and 1/8 from $200.00 to $5.00.
I like the 1/25 scale and have way to many kits and diecast.

I just looked on e-bay and there was only one 1:25 scale '55 sedan, lots of BelAirs, Nomads, 'Graffitii '55s. Plus there were a few in the smaller scales, don't want those though.

I've tried some of the manufacturers like Ertl, Racing Champions, Exoto, Franklin, Danbury, Maisto seems some of the companys once made them but they are n.o.p.

I have a couple plastic models of the 55 sedan. I have not seen a diecast yet, only a hardtop. If I find one, I will let you know about it.
