The PO started to install front discs on the 56.The rotors and calipers appear to be new albeit covered w/surface rust.
Do discs have different rubber brake lines or are they the same as drum?
The Calipers are Delco and the left one has this # on it 5483636.
I googled the # and all I found was that these calipers are for a 4 wheel Chevy Nova (which I didn't know that they made)the site gave no year of manufacture so..How do I know which pads to buy?

My 56 uses 74 Camaro style calipers & hoses and my 55 uses 85 Cutlass hoses & calipers. 98% of the systems out there use one of these. Take your old parts to NAPA and give them those choices. The only car I have ever seen that used the same hose disk or drum on the ft is a 67 SS350 Camaro. The 4 piston caliper has a short steel line between caliper & hose.

Banjo fitting circled in red...

Bolt for banjo fitting...

A copper washer goes on each side of the fitting to seal it...
