Disc brake questions

The PO started to install front discs on the 56.The rotors and calipers appear to be new albeit covered w/surface rust.
Do discs have different rubber brake lines or are they the same as drum?
The Calipers are Delco and the left one has this # on it 5483636.
I googled the # and all I found was that these calipers are for a 4 wheel Chevy Nova (which I didn't know that they made)the site gave no year of manufacture so..How do I know which pads to buy?

Watch the bolts, there are different threads, I found out and made several trips to find the right length and thread.:)
