I am working on 57 hard top, I have mini tubbed & will move springs in, I have
10 bolt out of 73 Nova it is 60 1/4"drum to drum. Want to use 17 or 18 rims
10 inch wide NOT sure ,do not have wheels yet.
Has any body used a stock size rear end and will it work?
I want as big of a tire with out being trouble some.
Do not have money for 12 bolt or 9 ford right now.

No you don't have to narrow your rearend.HOWEVER it will make your wheel choices very limited unless you commit to custom wheels. I would pic whet you want and get off the shelf wheels then have your rearend narrowed to fit the wheels. also the 10 bolt is just fine for a street car just my 2 cents.
