Does anyone know this car? - Oklahoma

This car has been for sale for a LONG time. It's a bit of a drive for me, but considering taking the trip to check it out. Just curious if anyone knows the background on this particular vehicle. A PM would be nice if anyone has info. Thanks

Yes that one has been for sale for a long time. Sorry i know nothing about it though. Maybe Hafrod or one of the others close to there will recognize it and comment.

I do not know this car but Terry is right, it's been for sale for a looooong time
I'm with Hafrod, it's been for sale a long time but I don't know the car. I wish I'd known he wanted to trade for a Harley back a few months ago when I had one. I would be glad to go and check it out for someone.
could be a good buy. :stupido2:
If it hasn't sold at that price, then it must look really bad up close. Has the price been the same all along?

Or it was sold and the ad wasn't cancelled.
Rick until a week or so back he was asking 14.5k for it.

I offered to trade him a Road King, and he never replied to my email. He's some kind of dealer, I googled his phone number and he's sold several cars..
And yes he did drop that price. I'm thinking something is wrong or its a disaster up close is why its not selling. I just don't want to drive that far (been there, done that, came home with an empty trailer too many times, got the miles on the truck and trailer to prove it )

On a GOOD note, I got a bite on my car, hopefully guy going to come buy it this weekend...Then I can REALLY hunt a tri car.
I`d get one of the guys close to have a look at it and inspect it for their true condition of the car. Then if it sounds like something you`d be interested in then go have a look at it. I drove all the way to near OKC awhile back to look at a pair of seats and then backed out on them. That was a 4hr drive one way for me.

I'm of the same thinking as RICK L......
From the pics looks like a sweetheart.....must be something up with it if it's still for sale !

It does say at the top of his add that he would not reply to trade offers for harleys or hot rods unless you had all the details included ....Did you include them ?
Looks OK in the photos but I would take Randy up on the offer to check it out still ,
better safe than sorry and hey it could be a real good buy
never know unless it's checked out !

It must be listed on every Craigslist for 500 miles around. It is on Springfield.craigslist also.
Well from the looks of it, it's had some fire damage on the front end!!!!!:happy0030:
I must be missing something. I am looking at a small screen but I don't see where $14,000 is too low for that car.I know that prices differ a lot in different parts of the country but I have seen 56s a lot nicer than that one for same or less money, locally. I'd call it fair but not a smokin deal by any means.JMO
kab, I think most of those posting about the value thought it probably was worth less the $13900, rather than the other way - speculating there were issues not in the photos.
Well, got my fingers crossed. I have 2 guys that are in a "race" to buy my Ford today. The first guy has already looked at it and says he's coming at 6 . Another guy said he's coming at 4 to buy it. I told them both about each other and explained that cash in hand is the deal maker. So, we'll see. The good news for me is that I can then really start to look for my dream tri5. I am really excited. Sounds stupid, but of all the cars I have had over the years, I never really had the cash to get a nice tri5. I have always bought "projects" and put a lot of sweat equity into them and flipped them when I grew tired of them. I have always wanted a 55 or 56 from the first time I saw the American Graffiti movie....
I am wondering if the Goodguys event in Dallas next month would be a good place to try to buy? I haven't been to a goodguys show in years.

I may also look into this 56 I posted here..

Thanks again...we'll see what happens today

It's re-listed again. I'm gonna give him a call today, when I get some cash in hand from the other car. (don't wanna waste anyone's time)...

I'm just really excited. I've just gotta take my time and find exactly what I want. I know the next few months are usually a good time to buy hot rods and motorcycles.
