Ok, I quit drinking alcohol of any sort 14 years ago. But, when I did drink, I could never drink beer on a hot day, made me even thirstier. What say you, beer drinkers?
That's why I'll bring extra beer.Ok, I quit drinking alcohol of any sort 14 years ago. But, when I did drink, I could never drink beer on a hot day, made me even thirstier. What say you, beer drinkers?
.....but easiest way to cool off is hot coffee. No kidding !!!!! :tuAny alcohol makes me sweat more than I already am. Don't need that on a hot day. Coffee has the same effect, so I don't drink that either during the summer.
I agree ....I enjoy my bottled Miller Lite's......"AFTER" any & all work never during and always in the evening................ :anim_32:Beer is for drinkin' while we clean up the shop and clean and put away the tools we used that day.........by then, it's later in the day, past the hottest part.........and, it does get hot here.

...........:happy0030::happy0030::happy0030:A Corona or Negra Modela for me. A couple during an afternoon is not too much I think. After 4 PM it's Manhattan time!

My Dad always said this too, I never could figure how it worked:confused0006:.....but easiest way to cool off is hot coffee. No kidding !!!!! :tu
Drinking a hot beverage when you are hot actually turns on your bodys "A/C" because your body temp is being raised even more and your body attempts to cool down...at least that is what a lot of people sayMy Dad always said this too, I never could figure how it worked:confused0006:
As for a cold beer, anytime, any temp.is good with me :anim_32:
You should have seen the 20-something kid who used to work with me. He'd sweat like a beached whale after a night of drinking, then come to work and try to fill in for the regular loaders. He was the laughing stock of the building.Any alcohol makes me sweat more than I already am. Don't need that on a hot day. Coffee has the same effect, so I don't drink that either during the summer.
It works,,for some folks, but ya gotta gulp it down to switch on the body A/C.Drinking a hot beverage when you are hot actually turns on your bodys "A/C" because your body temp is being raised even more and your body attempts to cool down...at least that is what a lot of people say
