I feel like this may be an obvious task since I can't find any threads on it, but how do you replace the glass on the driver's window of a 1957 4 door sedan? I have taken off the upholstery Panel and the inner window frame but there is no apparent next step to access the window. It seems like the inner door panel is a single piece with the outer door skin although I know it probably isn't. Or is this not even the way to replace the window? Help me out!

Thanks!

some info here
http://www.trifive.com/forums/showpost.php?p=449687&postcount=9

has a link to eklers and other info

the shop manual is good as well.
online version

it works best to take out the vent window first.

once the vent is out you need to remove the 4 screws that attach the window frame to the roller track. There are panels to take off and tape to remove to see all the access holes

After taking the vent window out I was able to replace the window with ease! Thanks so much for the help guys. Now I wont get any more comments like "Wow thats a really great looking car, but why is the window broken??" :)

I also picked up one of those shop manuals for future reference! I wont ever stop working on my good ole '57!
