reason no on dual four or F.I. cars. The belt probably wouldn't stay on the pulleys at high rpm of solid lifter cars. I blieve there was a different coding on the front of the block for those engines
You could get a dual quad car with Turboglide as well as Powerglide. The other option (or what came standard) was a close ratio 3-speed with 3.55 gears. Overdrive was not available with 2x4's.
