I've done it on other cars but can the front clip of a 55 be removed all together... the left, right fenders with front grille together and set off to the side? I would think it could be unbolted from the frame and cowl posts. Thanks in advance,

Yes, if you have enough help. Just unbolt it as you described. You also have two brackets attached to the inner fender that is bolted to the firewall (cowl). One on each side. :anim_25: bowtie-trifive :gba:

front clip

Guys, that all looks easy enough but what about the wiring (horns, lights, volt reg etc) that is all attached. Does it just unplug from the firewall? If I remember, I saw cables go right thru the firewall without any connectors near there.

No firewall connector...Wiring has to be disconnected in the engine compartment from the generator and light harness.
