Hi Guys,
As I start to plan my next step on my restoration, the front end and suspension build,I have a question about the front coil springs. Should I re-use my original front springs? They look pretty solid except for very light surface rust, no pitting. I don't want to be cheap and try to save a hundred bucks when I'll eventually be putting a lot of money into the car, but.... I don't want to be wasteful and throw away good springs if all they need is a little cleaning up and a couple coats of paint. Thanks for any input!

There's nothing wrong with re-using your old coil springs, as long as the ride height is to your liking now. You can even cut them down to lower the car if you want to. I think a lot of people waste money on new ones.

Thanks Chevynut, That sounds good to me. I know it will take a little extra time to clean them up and paint them but a hundred bucks saved here and there will help me add some more goodies to my engine when that phase begins.
