The front parking light's on my 55 light up when the brakes are applied, at the same time both left and right turn signals light up solid ( no flash ). the turn signals work perfectly otherwise. Also front parking lights only work with headlights off. Any ideas anyone ? Tail lights, headlights turns, brake lights and everything work normal. Just the darn front parking lights and turn signal arrows/indicators come on when you hit the brakes and the parking lights dont come on when head lights are on but turn indicators do when brake is applied. Could this be a ground wire issue ? if so where should i check first ? Any ideas would be helpful i am betting some one has ran into the same problem before.

Green....The parking lights should not come on, when the headlights are on.....So, that's normal.....Your other problem is in the turn signal switch somewhere.....Acardon will know exactly IRT the directional switch.

As David said, the front parking lights only come on when the headlight switch is in the first position. The go out when the headlights are on. The turn signal problem does sound like a ground problem, but there is no wire involved. The front parking lights are grounded to the body by the bolts that hold the houseings to the fenders. The bulb socket can also loose connection with the parking light houseing.

If you have an updated column with four way flashers turn them on then back off, sometimes the switch gets between on and off and will cause your problem...

Hey Green, I am assuming that you are running the stock wiring in the car, and that people are responding based on that ?
I just rewired my car, and replaced the Headlight Switch, and if I remember correctly, you could hook up the wires to the headlight switch that could have the Parking Lights ON or OFF when the headlights are on. For me I chose to have them on.
Perhaps the headlight switch has been wired this way ?
Just wanted to add these 2 cents, as far as the other issues you are having, I should leave you in better hands than I.
