I went to fill my car up for the show and was standing by the nozzle and gas started shooting out of the filler neck and the pump shut off. Looked at the pump and it was about $15. I've never filled the car up and the gauge was reading 1/4 tank. Looked at the gauge and it read 3/4 tank. Tried to add more fuel but it kept blowing out of the filler neck and all over my brake lights. Were should I start looking for the problem? My gauge is an Autometer with the same OHM rating as stock.

My SES light also came on a couple times but went off after I shut the car off then came back after a while of driving. Need to pull any codes to see what it is. Car is also changing idle, the IAC may just be junk even though it is new, it isn't a GM made one.

I'm going to pull the wire from the sending unit and read the gauge. Then ground the wire and see if the gauge is working. If it is then I have sending unit problems. Right now tank does not sound full so I'm a little confused.

Just remember it's better to be accurate at E than F... Many cars, even new ones will show full for a long time before the gauge starts to move...
