Hi - I could use some help on a fuel line issue, please.

What is the size/diameter of the fuel line that runs from the tank,
to the fuel pump ? 5/16 ?

I recently (March) purchased back a '55 that I sold 15 years ago.
I've been going over things that need to be corrected,
and noticed that the fuel line is real close to the header collector.
The '55 shop manual says the fuel line is run along the outside of
the frame rail - mine is on the inside. Someone must have moved it.
I need to get some tubing and fittings, and re-route the line.

Where is the line supposed to change from the outside of the frame,
to the inside, so it can connect to the fuel pump ?

I coudn't find that detail in the shop manual, or in the assembly manual.

Thanks - Rich Warner

I think not all were routed on the outside of the frame rail. Six and two barrel V8's were inside the frame rail. At least on the '56 it's that way. Dual exhaust caused the fuel and brake line to be relocated.
Here is the page you want for 4-barrel, RPO 410 sheet 5.

Fuel Line

Vaughn & Ken,

Thanks very much for your replies.

I clicked on the image from assembly manual - that helped a lot.
For some reason, when I go to print or even print preview,
I only get left part of the page/image.

By the way - I distribute Race Glaze vehicle appearance products,
and will provide a 10% discount to all Tri-Five members (except for
our "Monthly Specials"). To get discount, mention Tri-Five membership
in the "Comments" section of order form, or when ordering by phone.

Note: I will be adding a "Trial Kit" of small sizes (for limited time),
by end of the month.

Thanks again - Rich Warner ("Mr-Shine")
