Hello Everyone,

Does any one have any tips on cleaning and reconditioning gauges? My gauges are in good condition but the are a little dirty. What should I use to clean them without damaging the color on the gauge? Is there anything that will help with giving them a bit more luster after cleaning?

Thank you all for your help.

If your gauges has a glass face that's probably got grime on it.
If you have a plastic face you need to be careful as it can scratch the surface.

Hi, I was referring to the actual gauge faces not the lenses. I would like to find a way of cleaning them without damaging the paint. Is there a way to restore some of the luster. Thanks.

I used some diluted simple green and a qtip with a light touch, just to get the grime off.

I noticed the gauge color is very thin and easily scratched so BE CAREFUL!! :anim_25:. :flag6:
