Has anybody here used a gearstar trans? My dad ordered a 200R4 for his 55 and I am wondering how they work. Seemed like really good guys on the phone and the price was hard to beat.

They have a good reputation and alot of the GoodGuy magazine giveaway cars are built with them...

Hi, I have a 36 Ford Coupe that I built that has gearstars' 4l60 trans and it is a very nice trans. They know what they are doing and it works as it should (400 lbs. of torque from a ramjet). I built a 29 Ford PU that had a r200 that they built for me that worked very well for years, then sold the PU. My 57 wagon that I am currently building has a th350 that I will replace with their r200 next year (this year if it blows!). Regards, Steve
