With the wifes 57 almost done I decided to see how far I would have to cut into the delivery . I have a 4-door that is half 2-door conversion and half still 4-door. It has good floors and cowl/windsheild opening and front of the roof. I am working with Classichevy(member of trifive) for the needed missing parts in the rear of the deliveryand the trim. It looks like I will be doing a gasser build. The frame under my 4-dr/2-door is a frame that I put a straight axle on a few years ago. I have a 57 pontiac rear for it ,ladder bars, Munce 4-speed and I am going build a small journal 327 for it. I am thinking tilt front or something like that. I dont know color yet. It doesnt have a normal paint code...well it doesnt have a paint code at all...so...It is originally Air Force blue though. I would know that color anywhere as I sprayed it for a few years. I am thinking doing a 57 version of the Revell 53 chevy panel model with the red white and blue paint job. I pulled the front glass and there was nothing behind it , the car had just rusted away so that is why the cowl change. I will post those pics soon. Any way the car needs floors, cowl, and rear roof surgery on the main body. I have a set of good doors and a front cap that will go on. Here are some pic of the teardown so for.

cool plan, have fun with it. :five:
I am so glad that I took the time to tell you about all the bad things that I knew about on the SD.Its a big job Tim but when you finish it I'm sure that it will be a great car.:party0031:

The paint code is SP which I was told just stood for Special Paint leading me to believe that it was a fleet vehicle of some kind.Have you noticed the 8 leafs on the rear springs?
Yep,I saw the massive amounts of springs under there. Wow. They must have been using it to haul something for sure.
