i just bought a '56 nomad with air ride and the car was just built too low to suit me. if i add more air to raise the front, the ride gets too stiff. so i have decided to disable and remove the front air bags and convert back to coils. i have a '56 bel air with 2-inch dropped spindles and what i believe to be stock coils. with a 26-in tall tire, the fender well is 25-1/2 inches above the ground and the ride is nice and smooth. i want the nomad to ride as smooth as the bel air. any suggestions on which coils to order. i don't really want to spend $500 on coilover shocks.
