My buddy just picked up a ZR1 with the LS9 supercharged engine and a 6 gear. It has 638HP+ STOCK!

I got to go for a quick, and I mean QUICK spin around the block. I thought that I had driven/ridden in some fast cars. BLAH!!!! This car puts them all to shame! It was so fast! He didn't even floor it and I don't think we broke 4500rpm. It broke loose at about 50 in 4th or 5th - I can't remember, I was smiling too much. These things are amazing. I was shaking with excitement for about a half an hour.

It's good to have friends with fast cars.

Too cool, a buddy in Indiana used to bring by his hot rods for a spin, I sure miss that. He even loaned my 23 yr old son a 2006 ZR1 Vette to drive on his wedding day, it had 700 miles on it!!! Of course, I had to help him go pick it up. The only one he didn't let me drive was a Ford Gt because his insurance didn't cover other drivers.

I rode in a Z06 Vette last week. That was one sweet piece of machinery. One guy I know has a ZR1. I haven't ridden in that one though.

As much as I like older cars, I have grown to appreciate what these new cars can do.

Mike, had a similar experience today in a Ford product. Buddy of mine had his supercharger replaced with twin turbo's, nasty to say the least. It broke the rear loose a couple times while shifting through the gears...... Too much torque on too cold a day for the tires to stick..

He wants some pinstripe accents added to the radius arms for the rear suspension that sit above the engine. Just happened to have the right color in stock...:D

My friend sold his GT about a year ago. Never got a ride in it. He went to a dealer in Michigan to get one. When he got to the dealer they asked where the car hauler was. He didn't have one, he drove it all the way back to the west coast! It must be nice...

At least you got to drive one. They sound like a hand full, too.

I have horsepower envy...

You aint kidding the new stuff is off the charts. GasCan just sent me to youtube to check out Nelson Racing CODE RED 24 valve snake motor 1000hp and a 2000hp 69 camaro attacks Malibu. They both ran like kittens till she laid her ears back and turned into a LION. Bad ass stuff!!! well worth checking out. I wanted to build a modern hot rod in 2006 so I built a Mustang cuz chevy didn't have a camaro out yet. I though I had something at 680hp boy am I behind the curve now a days. Todays project is a blown 55

As much as I love driving my 55 the new stuff is the best of all worlds. I installed a Vortech supercharger on my 2002 Corvette. 525 HP @ the rear wheels and 28 MPG. If I really want to go crazy I'll jump in my 68 Pro Street Vette. All aluminum 632 CI. 816 HP and 814 FT. Lbs of torque on Pump Gas!
